Make Default App Folder a Shared Drive

Is this possible or still no solution available? From what I have seen on this forum is everyone is creating a "Service" account. 

Trying to make the default folder our shared folder for best practices.

There is a solution to this!

Create a "Shortcut" of the folder to YOUR drive, and use that path.

The only issue is that this isn't a long term solution. For example. Accounts where I work are constantly getting deleted. Mine will also be deleted eventually. What happens to the PDF bot if my account is deleted?
