Show Column in forms display has equal sign in front

I am trying to create an employee training form and would like to use show columns to add pages to the form. Using a Show column, category Page_Header with a description of Welcome the form shows =Welcome
I have tried quotation marks around my description, tried using the app formula section and also the content section but always the = sign appears before my text. How do I fix this?

Did you include the equal sign in your content? If so, it isn’t needed.

Thanks for the response Steve, I am not including the equal sign in my content. I tried to post a screen pic but am struggling. Right now if I type Welcome into the content bar my preview shows =Welcome

I am assuming that there is a setting that I am missing but not sure what it could be. My View type is form, column is blank in the spreadsheet, column type is show category is Page_Header and content is Welcome my view in the app is =Welcome
