Hi everybody,
I can’t get Expression to work in regards to the Show_if setting, how is your environment?
If I set the checkbox to turn off, it is hidden.
However, even if I put only false in Expression, it continues to be shown.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I found the cause.
Apply show-if constraints universally was set to turnoff.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
It seems that this setting is off by default for apps created from Ideas.
Hi @Takuya_Miyai ,
If this helps. A quick test on a long text type column with name as “Description” with show_if set to false seems to hide the column as expected in a form as well as detail view.
The Editable and Require are also checked to yes for this column. but Show_if setting seems to take the highest preference.
Thanks @Suvrutt_Gurjar
I’m still investigating, but all of the issues I’m experiencing are with Sandbox apps created from ideas.
The problem did not occur in apps created from spreadsheets.
Oh okay. Thank you @Takuya_Miyai.
I tested it on a sample app that I had copied from the support section a few days ago.
I found the cause.

Oh okay. Thank you for the update @Takuya_Miyai
Yes, that setting gets missed at times.
To avoid making the same mistake, I decided to set it in policy.
That is very neat approach @Takuya_Miyai .
