Expression in Show_if setting is not working

Hi everybody,

I canโ€™t get Expression to work in regards to the Show_if setting, how is your environment?

If I set the checkbox to turn off, it is hidden.
However, even if I put only false in Expression, it continues to be shown.

Hi @Suvrutt_Gurjar

I found the cause.
Apply show-if constraints universally was set to turnoff.
I apologize for the inconvenience.

It seems that this setting is off by default for apps created from Ideas.

Hi @Takuya_Miyai ,

If this helps. A quick test on a long text type column with name as โ€œDescriptionโ€ with show_if set to false seems to hide the column as expected in a form as well as detail view.

The Editable and Require are also checked to yes for this column. but Show_if setting seems to take the highest preference.

Thanks @Suvrutt_Gurjar

Iโ€™m still investigating, but all of the issues Iโ€™m experiencing are with Sandbox apps created from ideas.

The problem did not occur in apps created from spreadsheets.

Oh okay. Thank you @Takuya_Miyai.

I tested it on a sample app that I had copied from the support section a few days ago.

Yes, that setting gets missed at times.

Hi @Suvrutt_Gurjar

To avoid making the same mistake, I decided to set it in policy.

  • Component๏ผš UXSettings
  • Condition:๏ผš =[RespectShowIfEverywhere]=true

That is very neat approach @Takuya_Miyai .
