Hi community,

do you know if I can make an app who can extract data from .gpx files (distance, elevation, duration, etc.) ?

Solution 1 : connect web service as Strava to an app
Solution 2 : add a .gpx files direct from the app
Solution 3 : ?

@Thomas_Duhamel I don’t believe there’s a method for what you’re describing, but if you want to display GPX files in your app as a read-only KML map layer, I’d recommend the following steps:

1. Upload your GPX file to Google ‘My Maps’
2. Export that map layer as a KML file
3. Host that KML file, and point to the file location in your app’s location column definition
