Show availability in Calendar (instead of occupation)

Hi,

I would like to reverse the Calendar view from occupation to availability.

What do I mean by that? In month view I have โ€˜markedโ€™ days when I am busy (have meetings, phone callsโ€ฆ), but instead of that I want to see days, when I have nothing, I am available.

I would like to compute that in days, not in hours. Is there any way how to proceed?

Thanks.

Hello @fery

I canโ€™t really think of an easy/good way to do that. The problem youโ€™ll find is that since thereโ€™s nothing to display or work with (since weโ€™re talking about times when you have nothing going on), the system canโ€™t really do anything with that.

Youโ€™d need to create some sort of stand-in or placeholder for each of the empty spacesโ€ฆ

Thanks for your answer I thought that this would be a problem.

Yep! Thatโ€™s how I built my calendar app. One row for every 1-hour block, thatโ€™s related to any events that fall in that hour.

@fery,

You can also share your calendar publicly, but only show availability, without disclosing the event details.

Another option is to integrate with a booking service, like Calendly, or 10to8.
