Position of the Primary Views at the bottom bar

We can choose 5 Positions for the Primary Views:

1. left most
2. left
3. center
4. right
5. right most

In fact we can add more than 5 views at the bottom bar.
In Mobile 6 are possible.

In Browser even more

To control the order of “left most 1” and “left most 2” it’s not enough to just rename it. If you want “left most 2” in the first position, you can’t just rename it to “left most 1”.
What you have to do is copy “left most 1” and delete the original “left most 1”.
Then the order will be:

It seems to be ordered by the time the views are created.

I was under the impression that we could index up to five views in our bottom navigation bars: [Screen Shot 2019-12-15 at 12.36.38] But, lo and behold, I have six: [Screen Shot 2019-12-15 at 12.34.18] It’s just a coincidence that my app’s quote for the day is “It always seems impossible until it’s done” . . . or IS it? Is this new? And, is this wonderful improvement related to this temporary glitch?

Hi Kirk, that certainly looks like a related issue! People have noticed that it’s technically possible on our platform to add more views in the bottom navigation bar. This isn’t a supported feature, so I can’t guarantee it’ll stick around. We only support up to five views in the bottom navigation bar because on mobile devices, more than five buttons is likely going to cause more usability issues for customers. (Actually, on that same Material Design Guidelines page I mentioned above, they argue…
